"Very good food, service. Neeru our waitress was extremely attentive and very pleasant. Beautiful ambience. We ordered the non veg thali, which had lots of dishes. Kuthu porotta and the mushroom chettinadu along with peshwari naan. The chocolate shake was great too. In the end the manager Sai had come and checked if we were satisfied. So overall a great experience."

"The food was average and not was expected, the dosa was very thin and crispy and couldn’t eat as it kept poking in my mouth and gave me a few cuts. Taste was average, size was gud . Didn’t try anything else. Over all average experience as could have been better. Atmosphere was cozy and welcoming with light classical music with nice lighting and ambiance. I had a comfortable dinner with my spouse and the price wasn’t pleasing but same as other South Indian restaurants."

"After seeing all of the positive reviews I was a little concerned this would be overhyped but it really is as good as everyone says! Such a great selection, freshly made, and they serve some of the best cooked chicken in a curry I've ever had. The staff were incredible and very tentative. Loved the decor! "After many years, I finally found a restaurant that serves truly authentic and delicious food, along with great décor and excellent hygiene standards. We ordered a variety of dishes within our group, and every single one was exceptionally good. The service was great, and the staff were attentive throughout our visit. The only small issue I would highlight is that while the food arrived quickly—fresh and perfectly prepared—the previous plates were not cleared before the new dishes were brought out, which made it a bit tricky to place the new plates on the table. That said, the toilets and handwashing areas were very clean and well maintained. I genuinely hope they continue to maintain this high standard of food, service, and hygiene in the long run."

"A fantastic new addition to Barking Side! We visited Royal Thali (part of the Veena's group) recently and were really impressed by the fresh, unique vibe and beautiful interior. They serve a great breakfast combo until 12 PM, but the stars are the Veg and Non-Veg Thalis served from noon onwards. The food is clearly made to order and tastes incredibly fresh. Because of this, it can take a little while to arrive—especially when they are busy—but the wait is 100% worth it. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. If you love authentic South Indian cuisine and have a big appetite, this is a must-try!"

Our family of four ordered the Dindigul biryani, Kerala-style moliee fish curry, butter chicken, Malabar parotta, and butter naan—everything was delicious, with excellent flavors and generous portions. All dishes were freshly prepared and promptly served. The customer service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was equally impressive. Prices are reasonable, making us eager to return soon. By the way, the restaurant is spotlessly clean and maintains very high hygiene standards. Second visit: We are a family of four and this was our second visit to Royal Thali. We ordered mutton biriyani, parotta, and fish curry, and the taste was excellent as always. The service staff and the manager were very polite and welcoming.
